UCE United States
In the United States, it is the people of faith with financial reserve who support the people of faith in their resolve to choose chastity. The generous donors to UCE are the USA team members who believe that chastity works, and financially support the ongoing outreaches and programs internationally. Simultaneously, UCE-USA strives to promote a better understanding of chastity for all of us, in our own lives, for Uganda has shone the light of their success against HIV/AIDS to all the world! In the USA, UCE speakers have addressed youth and adults at churches, schools, and special events. UCE has hosted an annual World AIDS Day event and more recently The Medical Perspective on Chastity and Chastity Heals. Chastity Sunday has also been encouraged to begin, and coincide with the African event, where clergy preach on chastity from the pulpit.
If you would like a UCE speaker to address your group, please contact us.
USA Director
Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith comes to UCE with a passion for Christ, evangelization, chastity, business experience, seeking and answering God’s call for her life. Sarah was born, raised, and received her B.S in management and Spanish in Rochester, NY. She worked as a buyer in corporate purchasing for several years while also growing in her faith. In 2009, through prayer and discernment she relocated with her family to Colorado to serve God’s people. This service in Colorado has taken on different forms including bookkeeper for a couple parishes, coordinating a rosary ministry, prayer activities, chastity witnesses, and a birth doula for expectant moms. She has been blessed to use her talents to serve UCE as USA Director for 6 years. She is happily married to her sweetheart, Trent. Together, Sarah and Trent enjoy visits with family/friends, the outdoors, praying and evangelizing together, traveling, and board games.
1.
Invite a UCE speaker to your youth group, parish, school, seminary, or special event
UCE speakers share their personal testimonies and can speak on a wide range of topics including: chastity, purity, true love, abstinence, fidelity in marriage, the medical and scientific argument for abstinence, pornography, masturbation, other common challenges to chastity, and how to start a chastity team in your own diocese or church.
2.
Join UCE in World AIDS Week events
You can join UCE for World AIDS Week by either volunteering to help, attending the main event in Pueblo, CO, or by starting an event in your own area.
3.
Join UCE for Chastity Sunday
UCE can help your priests or pastors with chastity information, materials, and homily notes. We would be glad to meet with or talk with any interested clergy. Here you can see the various clergy who have endorsed UCE.
4.
Visit a UCE program abroad
There are few things as powerful as an outreach, watching hundreds or sometimes thousands of youth commit to chastity. UCE teams love international volunteers. If you would like to discuss the possibility of visiting a UCE program or even arranging for a mission trip with the youth in your area, please contact UCE. There are occasionally opportunities to travel with the UCE Executive Director.
World AIDS Week
World AIDS Week is held every year around December 1st, World AIDS Day. During this week, UCE brings the message about the seriousness of the global HIV/AIDS crisis back to the USA, and relays the successes that UCE has had in combating HIV/AIDS. It is also a time where we remember that the Ugandan success began with prayer, and that prayer sustains our efforts.
