“May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord show you his kindness and have mercy on you. May the Lord watch over you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 Thank you to all who supported UCE’s Braai 2018 and matching grant opportunity. I’m thrilled to announce that UCE achieved the full $25,000 matching grant! The saying “many hands make light work,” applies also to this ministry. Since UCE is a 501(c)(3) Christian non-profit that is NOT government funded, we rely on the generosity of individuals.
UCE’s Braai was an evening of great fellowship, bluegrass music by Fireweed, and food enjoyed by around 92 attendees, all for such a worthy cause! The rain subsided and even allowed us to host the event as scheduled outside where guests enjoyed the breathtaking view of the Pueblo reservoir at the Dernovsek home. The group who travelled to UCE Tanzania this past March dressed in their African outfits gifted to them from UCE Tanzania group, shared some beautiful UCE testimonies and entertained by singing their signature “Jambo Rafiki” song which they had learned before going on their trip through the inspiration and musical direction of Mrs Lynn Gimlin.
I will keep you posted on UCE’s continued successes through your generosity. Know that your continued support of this small, yet important ministry truly saves lives from AIDS and helps the youth live healthy lives. What is the value of one life? I invite you to continue your support, prayers, and participation in UCE’s future events (for those in the area) and join us as we seek to continue to spread UCE’s chastity message and save lives from AIDS! In Christ, Sarah Smith
